Most of all, the ceremony should fit… and be as unique as you and your future spouse. At the end of the day, you have the ultimate sign off on the content… no surprises!
Have a friend or family member officiating for you? Fantastic! I can help with just the legal stuff or by providing material and coaching for your guest officiant. Just ask – I’ve had dozens of clients taking this option and provided the support required.
Service packages include:
The Full Shebang – Ceremony Design and Delivery: The full service package includes up to 2 meetings; the first to discuss your vision for the day, and how we can create a ceremony together that is a perfect fit in tone, style and length. Options for customization and personalized content are plentiful but optional, including a custom written piece about your story as a couple. The second meeting is closer to your wedding date and includes a thorough verbal walk through of the ceremony component of your day – after all – I’m often your stage director too! We also discuss the legal paperwork and the follow through to obtain your legal proof of marriage. Starts at $545 if booked in 2026
Personalized Ceremony: As above with a personalized introduction and one meeting instead of two to cover ceremony content, personalization and logistics. Starts at $495 if booked in 2026
Sweet ‘n’ Simple: The name says it all… you are given a ceremony script to play with that includes many options in various sections from the most popular content I have used over the last 19 years. You can customize it as you wish and of course, insert your own vows if you would like to. Starts at $400 if booked 2026. Available on short notice – just drop me a line.
Say a Few Words/Elopement Ceremony: So you really don’t like being the center of attention, but would like the added touches of a ring exchange, your own choice of vows and would like me to say a few words in addition to legal requirements. Can do! Very short 2-3 min ceremony suitable for very small groups/informal occasions. Starts at $345 + HST for 2026** Available on short notice – just drop me a line.
Signing & Legals only: There are two main options available if all you want/need is my assistance to perform the minimum requirements under the Marriage Act of Ontario. These options are great if you have a friend conducting a ceremony for you, or are heading off for a fabulous destination wedding and want to ‘make it legal’ before you go (or once you return). Appointments are 30 minutes to allow for the signing in addition to some photos of you and your group!
You and your 2 witnesses can join me…
- Onsite: Simply put, I come to the location of your choice and conduct the legal bits with you. Timing may require flexibility. Starts at $295 + HST for 2026** Please note service area limitations below.
- Mysite: You are invited to my place of business (82 Rogers Rd) for a non-formal signing in my unique loft space (great for photos!) . Starts at $200 + HST for 2026**
COURIER SERVICE IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE INSTEAD OF CANADA POST FOR $25. JUST ASK.
These legal services are available on short notice and even same-day – just drop me a line or call 416-689-7980 to see if I’m free. Photos on location with Hamster (my cat) are free of charge under the stipulations on his modeling contract.
Please note:
*Fees quoted for 2026 are starting points. Toronto Island, yacht weddings, and other locations involving extra time/travel may incur an additional fee.
**Legal signings and Say a Few Words rates apply to off-peak times. During prime time hours (Fri/Sat 4-7pm) additional charges may apply.
Rehearsals: I don’t include rehearsals in the packages above because often couples find they won’t need me to attend. I prep you thoroughly so that you can save that money for your honeymoon instead. However, there are always exceptions – e.g. large bridal party, formal wedding, nervous parents, etc., and if you feel you’d like me to direct traffic for you, I’m happy to attend. Fee is generally $150 + HST*.
All services are provided by a fully licensed officiant (Helen) and are adherent to the Marriage Act of Ontario. This includes completing your legal paperwork, filing the license with the government and advising on follow-through to obtain legal proof of marriage,

I am happy to go to the location of your choice within a reasonable (e.g. 45 min) commute courtesy of my chauffeur… the TTC and BikeShare. Here are just a few locations that covers (there are hundreds!): Sassafraz, Canoe, Distillery venues, Second Floor Events, the Fifth, Enoch Turner, Columbus Centre, Toronto Islands, 1 King W., 2nd Floor Events, Fantasy Farm, the Brickworks, Todmorden Mills, Twist, the Toronto Hunt Club, Gladstone Hotel, Drake (all locations), Broadview Hotel, Cruise weddings (Toronto Cruises and Yankee Lady), Henley Room/Argonaut Rowing Club, Boulevard Club, Palais Royale, Graydon Hall, Shangri-La, any brewery (Granite, Steamwhistle, Junction, Bandit, Henderson, Rainhard, etc), Globe & Mail Centre, Burroughs, Malaparte, Albany Club, The Great Hall, District 28, Wychwood Barns, Danforth venues, AGO, ROM and the list goes on.
